It all started from Pathankot, which is also my home-town. I planned this trip with one of my friends, Shiv, who used to work with me & live in Dalhousie. There was also another companion, my parrot “Jackson”. He was a good guy. Dalhousie is one of the famous hill stations and is popular for the oldest Indian Army Cantt. Khajjiar is another place popularly known as “Mini Switzerland” of India. From Pathankot, Dalhousie is almost 60 kms and may take around 5-6 hours for you to be there. National highway is at its best till Bhadani area (Punjab) but not that good when you enter Himachal’s boundary.

We started late morning in our Baleno LXI, and were in Pathankot City by 10:00 AM. Climate was bit hot & sunny. We grabbed cold drinks & snacks from Mamun Cantt, which is the best place for that as you will only get few shops ahead. Mama’s Rasoi & Pind Baluchi are the best restaurants/resorts around this area.
