Temple Kol Kandoli is located in Nagrota Town, 11km from Jammu. This temple is said to be the Pehla Darshan, which means, anyone who is planning to pilgrim Mata Vaishno Devi (Katra), should first come to this temple. Story of temple is about Mata Vaishno Devi ji who stayed at this place in form of a little girl. This temple was built by Pandvas & while temple was under construction, Bheem got thirsty, who prayed Mata Vaishno for some water to drink. In return, Mata Vaishno Devi came up with a Silver Kol (Drum) of water. It is said that, the place where drum was placed, Gandeshwari Jyoti Ling was formed.

Almost 2 kms from the temple is Tavi River, which is must visit with bit precautions as water level keeps on changing.  On a clear night the well lit Mata Vaishno Devi climb can be seen on the slopes of the Trikuta hills.

At other end of Temple, we found a Sadhu (Saint) consuming Bhang with a huge Chilm, that moment was amazing & I was watching it for first time. I was afraid of getting near and capturing the moment, so I took it from bit far from the point. Later, I came nearer and asked him if I can get one picture of him or not but he refused. However, I had a shot already, so that was not a major concern.
