5 KMS from Solan City, Jatoli Shiv Temple comes along the way to Rajgarh. This Shiva Temple have its root back to ancient times when a Sadhu attained a state of intense concentration through Meditation for whole one year without any food. I did not know this time I was visiting temple. When I left with my friend to a known Mata Ji, she told us this history behind temple. She continued that Sadhu Ji, founded a small water source near the Temple (Which is still there) and used that water to treat people. Sadhu Ji also declared that a temple can not be completed unless he takes Samadhi.

Right on the front of Shiva Temple, there is an idol of Nandi Ji. This is a ritual to place Nandi Ji in front of Shiva Linga. It if believed that if someone take darshan of Lord Krishna through the Nandi Ji, his wishes are fulfilled by grace of Lord Shiva.

Every Sunday, Bhandara is organised by locals. Amazing this is that these Bhandara’s are not financed by Jatoli Temple Authorities, but by people who came here and their wishes were granted by Lord. Time I went there, Bhandara was financed by brother of the Mata Ji’s sister we met later.

This itself is incredible, as there is always one person who is ready for giving up Bhandara in Jatoli Shiv Temple.
